Nerves….

August 21, 2010

I photographed a sweet wedding today….I’m going through the images now and this one grabbed my attention right away…The groom was a tad nervous before seeing his bride, can you feel the anticipation?

Feeling, my good friend Peggy Dyer says….What do you think?  Even though these images were taken milliseconds apart, I think I prefer the softer one.

Rejuvenate

August 11, 2010

I wanted to write about something personal today.

Rejuvenate:  To breathe new life into, exhilarate, recover, refresh, regenerate, reinvigorate, renew, restore, revitalize, spruce up, update……

This past year has been full of many learning experiences – some difficult and some so amazing, words simply can not describe them.

Every year, I try to take a trip to do just that – Rejuvenate.  It’s a chance for me to reconnect with myself and the things that are important to me, to be my most creative self, to learn new things and experience life without any expectations.  This year, I will be returning to an island that holds a really special place in my heart.

I will be blogging, so check back in a week or so !!!

Aloha (and Carpe Diem!)

Okay, so it wasn’t REALLY just a one hour wedding, but the couple did hire me for just one hour.  They wanted some relaxed portraits with just the two of them before they got married.  It was important to them to have that time together before walking down the aisle.   So, we planned to meet and do the portraits in Cherry Creek, close to their ceremony site.   When they walked up, they were both beaming and so excited!  We spent an hour together, laughing and creating some fun portraits, and also some really sizzling ones, too.  After the session ended, they were so relaxed and at ease and both had said that they were so glad that they had decided to go the route that they had chosen.  Now, for some images…..

Kate and Jim

March 24, 2010

Meet Kate and Jim.  Kate really wanted some winter engagement photos – no problem!  Can you tell it was 25 degrees?  My hair was actually frozen after this…we were laughing pretty hard!  Thankfully Jim was there to keep her nice and warm!!  They were such good sports!  Also, meet Ullur, their beloved fur baby.  Ullur means “Snow God” in Scandinavian…..quite appropriate for the day, don’t you think?  Have a look-see…..

The Parlour

February 18, 2010

The Parlour, a local hair salon, asked me to help them with a new advertising campaign catering to the planning bride.  We photographed models on location from different eras all with a common theme – red.  All make up and hair done by The Parlour (of course!)  Here is one of my favorites, more to come!
