Meet my Grandfather, we call him Popo.  He is the most interesting man – why?  Well, one reason is that he’s 102 years old.  His memory is amazing and he can recall events and memories from his childhood.  It’s simply so fascinating to listen to his stories, his memories, his life.  He is a walking history book – what is was like to have electricity in a home, seeing the invention of automobiles, televisions, telephones, kitchen appliances and everything in between.  His first car was a Model T.  He paid $3000 for his first home.  He survived the Depression.  He was an entrepreneur and started a business selling shoes (and yes, they certainly don’t make them like they used to!).  People are amazed to meet him and want to shake his hand for living on this earth for 102 years.  All I know is he is my Grandpa and I love him so much!

The Partilla Family

May 12, 2010

Meet Meagan, Ian and Jorah…I photographed Meagan and Ian’s lovely wedding in 2005 – they married at the Denver Botanic Gardens and their reception was at Mile High Station.  Perhaps you may have seen this image before, they have been my “poster children” and on my home page for many years – this image was one of my favorite shots from their wedding:

One of the most rewarding parts of my “job” is to meet couples who are so in love, committed to a future together and watch them grow into each other, especially when they have a family!!  I feel so connected to each of my couples and am so honored to be a part of not just their wedding day, but their lives…..

look what i found!
